Graduation ticket information for the class of 2021’s ceremony on May 23rd has been released Wednesday. Each student has 10 tickets, and is able to receive access to information through an email sent out by campus administration.

With May just around the corner, graduation is now less than a month away for seniors. However, seniors will now receive 1o tickets as opposed to the original decision of six. The new number is more consistent with the number of tickets usually offered for Frisco ISD graduation ceremonies in years past.

“Frisco ISD could not [initially] offer more than six tickets per graduate due to occupancy restrictions and the size of graduating classes,” the Frisco ISD website said. “Since the removal of state orders, the District has worked with officials at The Star to evaluate COVID-19 case numbers, venue capacity, and the opportunity for social distancing. Frisco ISD presented a proposal to allow up to 10 tickets per graduate, which was reviewed and approved by the venue.”

Each graduate will receive an email on May 5 with ticket access codes to distribute to family and friends. Tickets can only be accessed digitally via the AXS Tickets mobile app; no physical tickets will be available.

“I’m really excited to have 10 tickets again,” senior Megan Guidry said via text. “More of my family will be able to come and see me graduate in-person and having to narrow it down to six people would’ve been difficult. I’m looking forward to seeing a lot of people that I haven’t seen a while since more people will now be attending the ceremony.”
