The Redhawk book challenge is going on until the end of September. The focus is reading as many books as possible by the end of the challenge.

All library books are due back in the library by the end of the day Friday with failure to do so resulting in various consequences.

“If they are not returned, they will get a notification that their name is placed on the hold list, along with a fee, which is the cost of the book(s) checked out,” librarian Chelsea Hamilton said via email. “If books are returned by the end of the school year, their names and fees are removed. If the book is lost, they can pay for it at http://bit.ly/LHSlostbook.”

For virtual students, the process is a bit different.

“VA students can return their books in the red book drop in the foyer (lobby) next to the black cart where they picked up their books,” Hamilton said. “F2F students can use the red book drop on their way in the building, drop them off in the library, or can give them to me when I come to English classes on the 13th and 14th.”
