Wingspan is back, counting down the top four sports moments of the 2020-2021 year.

Coming in at #2, the Redhawks football team qualifying for the playoffs for the first time since 2011.

“I’m really happy for this senior class,” head football coach Matt Swinnea said. “We challenged the team to adopt the mantra that “ItsTime” for us to become a winner, championship contender, and playoff team.  This senior class will leave a legacy of doing those things. They are a great group of young men.”

One year after going 1-9, the improvement to 6-4 was a big change from the program’s 20 game losing streak that started in 2017.

“We’re always looking to improve and sharpen our play in everything we do,” senior Will Ashmore said. “And with playoffs, the level of play increased so we needed to be sharp and focused, and play our very best.”
