The Redhawks flight was grounded in a District 9-5A volleyball game when the team lost to Independence High School on Tuesday.

The team is currently 1-3 in District 9-5A which serves as a motivating factor for the Redhawks as the team has something to work toward.

“This season we have really been working hard on our communication strategies which has really helped bring us in,” junior Campbell Peters said. “Our bond as a team has been one of our biggest strengths this year which is something that has helped push us through these past few games.”

It takes willing athletes to create a feeling of family on the court which head coach Clark Oberle believes is where the team’s strengths lie.

“Our team has a great mix of athletes from across each grade level,” Oberle said. “We have really had our underclassmen step up this year and they’ve all done really well so far.”
