Riding a two game winning streak, the Redhawks volleyball team gears up for a District 9-5A game on Friday at 5:45 p.m. against the Lone Star Rangers.

The past couple of games, the Redhawks have put their attention on their defense which has proven to be beneficial for the team.

“We’re really continuing to focus on our defense,” head coach Clark Oberle said. “We want to keep moving on the track we’re on now, continuing to get better each game.”

Winning doesn’t only mean a higher score, for the Redhawks it means another bonding opportunity.

“The last two games have gone pretty well,” sophomore MJ McCurdy said. “We have really come together this year and with all of the effort we have been putting into practice with our defense and offense I think it is starting to pay off in the way we play.”
