For the second time this season, Redhawk volleyball has fallen to defeat by the Memorial Warriors. The team looks to turn their two game losing streak around in their next game on Tuesday.

Earlier in the season, Redhawk volleyball fell to Memorial High School 3-1. On Friday things went a bit better, but the Redhawks still fell short 3-2 (25-13, 23-25, 25-20, 19-25, 8-15) in a District 9-5A game.

“Even if we lose, these games help bring us closer together as a team,” sophomore MJ McCurdy said. “That’s what games like this help us to improve on moving forward.”

With time running out in the team’s effort to make the playoffs, head coach Clark Oberle knows the team needs to win.

“Each of our games are very important,” Oberle said. “There are games that we definitely need to win but I try to look at each one with the same level of importance. We need to win a lot in the second half of the district season.”
