The Redhawks came out strong in Tuesday’s District 9-5A volleyball game against Frisco High School taking the game 3-2 (25-23, 20-25, 23-25, 25-23, 15-13), and brought their annual Breast Cancer Awareness fundraiser to a close.

“Our fundraiser is always a great way to rally together and spread awareness,” head coach Clark Oberle said.

With a bid to the playoffs on the line, the team had their sights set on a goal they were set on achieving.

“This game was one we knew we needed to win,” Oberle said. “The team really comes together in games like this to get that win we want to see moving forward.”

The Redhawks have had a fairly inconsistent season winning every other game they play, so to junior Campbell Peters, this win will be beneficial to the team as the season progresses.

“We won’t always win every game,” Peters said. “It definitely does give us the confidence boost we need going into our next game.”
