The Redhawks brought home a 3-1 win against the Independence Knights on Friday. The team looks to continue their two game winning streak on Tuesday in their game against Wakeland High School.

The Independence Knights felt the talons of the Redhawks dig deep on Friday in a District 9-5A volleyball game where the Redhawks secured their second win in a row, 3-1.

“Earlier in the season, we had a big match against Independence where they beat us, but it was pretty close,” Oberle said. “To keep our playoff hopes alive we needed to beat them in this second round to get us a step closer to that goal and that’s exactly what we did.”

Looking to keep the momentum going, the team takes on the Wakeland Wolverines at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday at the Nest.

“Winning always feels good,” junior Campbell Peters said. “If we keep putting in the effort we have shown recently and continue to drive our power in terms of ‘offense’ and ‘defense,’ I think we have apretty good shot in our game Tuesday.”
