The Redhawk tennis team advanced to the third round of the UIL 5A Region 2 team tennis playoffs on Thursday after beating Dallas Willson 10-0.

Practice makes perfect. Well, almost perfect, and for the Redhawks, the drive brought by the athletes during practice is crucial according to senior Charlie Zhang.

“I think definitely the biggest factor that has helped our team so far has been the energy that everyone has been bringing to all of our practices,” he said.

While stamina is a big part of the sport according to Zhang, the energy his teammates bring is an even bigger part.

“All of our teammates were out there behind the fence cheering each other on, supporting whenever anyone was competing,” he said. “I think that is definitely one of the most crucial factors that has helped us get over the line for a lot of our matches.”
