The boys’ basketball team opened their season with a 69-61 win against Prosper on Saturday.

“I feel like they did well, I feel like it was a good start to our season, it’s always good to get a win,” head coach Stephen Friar said. “I do feel like we have a lot of room for improvement, but at the same time though it’s good to do that with the outcome we had”.

Junior Kaden Groom feels like the team worked hard to open with the win, and is pleased with the results.

“I feel like we did well, we had kind of a slow start, started off 13-3, but thanks to people coming in off of bench rotations it really brought the energy up and we went into halftime with an 8 point lead,” Groom said. “And after that we kept pushing, and we were able to get the win”.

Looking to keep the momentum, the boys take on Little Elm on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m.
