Competing against Bishop Lynch and Frisco, the boys’ side took 2nd, while the girls’ team placed 3rd.

“I thought we did well, we had some really good swims from some folks who haven’t swam in about a month,” head swim coach Nick Dion said. “So shout out to Armaan Nayar, as well as Nathaniel Zhang and Keith Taylor. Really good swims turned in by those guys.”

Competing in only relays this week, it’s about trusting teammates for junior Maria Oushalkas.

“Teamwork helped play into our rely results because we had to trust one another and rely on one another,” Oushalkas said. “In swimming it’s a lot of fast reaction and so you have to anticipate when your teammate is going to finish so you can get off the block as fast as possible. So you have to trust the process and trust our teammates when we are on our relays.”

Always looking to improve, Oushalkas is excited to learn and see how she fares in the team’s nxt meet. .

“I think for our relay, we could definitely place a lot better,” Oushalkas siad. “There is a lot of potential to improve. Individually I think I did pretty well and I am excited to see what I can do next meet.”
