After an already lengthy college application process, seniors are now awaiting decisions. “The waiting game can be anxiety inducing,” senior Bethany Estes said. “The answer doesn’t come super quickly, and it might not be the answer you want.”

It’s that time of the year when seniors are applying and waiting for acceptances into college. With all that anticipation it can be extremely stressful especially with schoolwork and extracurricular activities.

“It was very stressful, doing early action for some of my colleges and I had a deadline of November 1st,” senior Paria Mansouri said. “But I know I’m definitely going to feel relieved when I submit all of my applications.”

On top of attending school and applying for college, some seniors also have jobs, like Gabby Fernandez.

“I also have a job so sometimes I’d come home late and have to do my school work alongside my application,” Fernandez said.

For senior Kavya Srinivsf, there’s much to do in little time.

“It was pretty overwhelming because I had to decide which colleges I wanted to apply to as well as decide a major,” Srinivas said. “It was also pretty stressful because I had to make my resume and ask for teacher recommendations within deadlines.”

The process of applying is stressful. Even so, the wait for decisions can be just as excruciating.

“The waiting game can be anxiety inducing,” senior Bethany Estes said. “The answer doesn’t come super quickly, and it might not be the answer you want.”
