FISD’s Omicron variant protocol

The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have updated COVID-19 protocol, and this update includes moving away from quarantines and social distancing. In Frisco ISD, COVID-19 measures have also changed, with a required five day quarantine for infected students or staff.

Across the nation the Omicron variant of COVID-19 has caused significant rises in new cases, prompting numerous school districts around the nation and in Texas to make changes to COVID-19 mitigation protocols.
