Swinging into their spring season, the Redhawk tennis team is competing in their first tournament of the season, the Polar Vortex, on Wednesday.

“In these tournaments, we will play some 5A and some 6A, and it’s all across North Texas,” Dopson said. “So we’re just gonna work hard. Our goal is hopefully to make it to regionals and state again. That would be great.”

With the fall team season ending months ago, Dopson has been amping up the work to get ready for this individual season.

“We have been practicing every day, and then coach Dopson has made us do some running more recently,” senior Chloe Campbell said. “It kinda sucks but we feel pretty prepared and I’m very excited to spend time with my teammates.”
