The Redhawk soccer teams battled the Memorial Warriors on the field on Friday, and both teams walked away with draws.

Hosting the Warriors at The Nest, the girls’ team tied with Memorial 1-1.

“We played very well, they played very tough. Memorial is always a tough team,” head coach Kyle Beggs said. “They always give one hundred percent, and so do our girls, and it was a battle back and forth. And unfortunately we came out with a tie. But the girls played very well moving the ball and fighting for every 5050 ball.”

Following the girls, the boys’ team traveled to Memorial High School where they also ended with a tied game of 2-2.

The tie on Friday lengthens the boys undefeated streak in District 9-5A to 6-0-4.

“They always have a lot of confidence and they bring a good level of energy,” head coach Evan McGee said. “We have a group of guys that never quit.”
