NHS applications open for new members
National Honor Society is holding their second mandatory meeting for members Wednesday and Thursday in the auditorium. “During the NHS meeting we will go over hour requirements for this semester, reintroduce officers, and introduce new FISD hour requirements,” NHS president Reva Kabnurkar said.

The deadline is fast approaching for National Honor Society applications open until 11:59 p.m. on Sunday. The application has a requirement of a minimum of a 4.0 weighted GPA and two teacher recommendations with an optional section of information, activities, and signatures.
“Next year, I plan on applying to NHS because of the platform it gives to do good in the community,” sophomore Aaron Xu said. “All in all, it’s a great chance for me to get out of my comfort zone to support those around me, while simultaneously setting up my future by receiving service hours.”
The application is not required of juniors who are in the program. rather, it only applies to new members who have not yet joined and are hoping to take part.
