As most of us are aware, the campus will be undergoing major renovations and changes this summer to freshen up for the 2022-2023 school year. Many Redhawks are excited to see these changes and come to campus next year with cleaner and brighter fixations.
However, the time it will take to put in new carpet, and paint the inside of the school may prevent teachers from getting back on campus until right before the school year starts. This could mean classrooms aren’t going to be decorated and students may walk into classrooms with plain walls and nothing that showcases the teacher’s personality.
This will take some adjusting to because normally students feel more comfortable with new teachers based on how welcoming their decorations can make students feel. But with the possibility that teachers may not have enough time to decorate their classrooms, they may have to find another way to make students feel comfortable.
I think that although the workers need time to make these changes to campus, there needs to be enough time for teachers to be able to get in their classrooms and get everything ready. This is an added stress to teachers who are already trying to get ready for the new school year.
The renovations will make a difference, but there needs to be enough time to allow teachers to make their rooms feel like their home before they welcome in new students.
