Wingspan: What made you choose your instrument?

Elizondo: “Nothing in particular, it just seemed fun.”

Wingspan: What made you want to choose to do band?

Elizondo: “It seemed like a fun social way to make friends.”

Wingspan: How does band impact your daily life?

Elizondo: “I have to keep track of rehearsals and other important information while keeping up with homework from other classes.”

Wingspan: Are you considering continuing band beyond high school? Why?

Elizondo: “Maybe more as just a hobby because I would like to focus on a more steady career path.”

Wingspan: What are your personal goals for this year?

Elizondo: “Having good relationships with other band members and being successful in school.”

Wingspan: What is your favorite thing about band?

Elizondo: “I love how everyone can be themselves with each other.”

Wingspan: How do you balance band, school, and any other extracurriculars?

Elizondo: “Just by planning everything out beforehand helps me stay organized.”

Wingspan: What’s your favorite memory in band?

Elizondo: “The bus rides to contests and games are always fun.”

Wingspan: What is your advice to anybody thinking about joining band?

Elizondo: “I’d say go with it because you’re surrounded by a great group of people and can create a lifetime of memories.”

Wingspan: If you had to pick a different instrument to play what would it be?

Elizondo: “If I had to I’d pick the trumpet or another brass instrument.”
