It was a battle of the birds on the court on Tuesday, with the Argyle Eagles soaring 3-1 over the Redhawks volleyball team.

“The team started pretty slow last night,” head coach Eighmy Dobbins said. “But in our last two sets we played really well.”

The team faced the Eagles earlier in the season, when they lost to them in the Sawyer Camillo Memorial Tournament.

“There was definitely an improvement from the last time we played them,” junior Grace Payne said. “The first two sets against Argyle weren’t what we were hoping for. The last two sets were better, but unfortunately it was too late.”

Despite the loss, Dobbins sees improvement from the last time they faced Argyle.

“There was improvement compared to the first time we faced Argyle,” Dobbins said. “We had a solid game plan and made some successful in-game adjustments.”
