Soaring into District 10-5A play on Friday, the Redhawk volleyball team defeated the Emerson Mavericks 3-1 at The Nest.

“Friday we played well, and we pulled out our first district win,” head coach Eighmy Dobbins said. “We are working on defending the Heritage offense for the game Tuesday.”

Senior Campbell Peters believes that the team underestimated the Mavericks, but feels ready to hit the court again on Tuesday against Heritage.

“Overall we played it well and ended up winning,” Peters.” We kind of underestimated them, but were working on coming back Tuesday and playing well for the rest of regular season games.”
