It’s a battle of undefeated vs. undefeated in District 10-5A on Friday, as the volleyball team heads to Independence High School at 5:30 p.m. to face the Independence Knights.

“I feel really good about the game Friday,” head coach Eighmy Dobbins said. “I think it’ll definitely be our toughest matchup yet, but I also think that we will be successful because of our versatility of players.”

The Redhawks currently sit in first place in District 10-5A, with the Knights just under them at second.

“I’m expecting it to be a good matchup and that we’re both going to compete really hard,” junior Kate Ashmore said. “We have been working on our blocker communication and timing and it’s going really well.”

With a winning streak of 4-0 in district, senior Campbell Peters believes the team is more confident going into Friday.

“I think it makes us really confident,” Peters said. “Going into the game knowing that we prepared through playing the other games in district that we won.”
