The wrestling teams battled at the Trojan Tournament on Friday, and finished with two finalists, senior James Ethan Harris and junior Taylor Clapp.

“Our teams had success at the Trojan tournament,” co-head coach Arman Mansouri said. “We had two finalists and had two girls and one guy come up a match short of placing. This tournament was very deep with over 60 teams present and the top 5 6A and 5A teams present. This is by far the most difficult tournament of the year, and I am pleased with our performance.”

For junior Taylor Clapp, the tournament highlighted her skills.

“The Trojan tournament went really well,” Clapp said. “James and I both placed 2nd in our brackets of almost 34 people from all over Texas. For some, myself included, this tournament showed our weaknesses both mentally and physically.”
