The wrestling team heads to Independence High School on Wednesday for matches against Heritage, Independence and Emerson at 5:30 p.m.

“We will have 3 district duals against Heritage, Emerson, and Independence High school,” co-head coach Arman Mansouri said. “This is exciting as it gives us an opportunity to see our district opponents a little over two weeks before the upcoming district tournament.

Placing second in her bracket at the Trojan Tournament last week, junior Taylor clapp feels prepared for the upcoming matches.

“We are looking forward to getting more district matches, hoping to increase our seeding points for the district tournament this year,” Clapp said. “We are going against two tough teams, Independence and Heritage. I’m looking forward to seeing the team wrestle, I think we have a good shot at this dual if we have the right mindset.”
