Redhawks softball qualifies for playoffs
Many years in the making, the softball team earned their spot in the playoffs. They did this with a win over the Emerson Mavericks on Tuesday.

The Redhawks softball team continued their winning streak on Tuesday night, with a win over the Emerson Mavericks 12-3 to secure a spot in the playoffs.
Losing to the Mavericks earlier in the season, head coach Baylea Higgs sees the win as an example of how hard work and dedication can pay off to achieve goals.
“These young ladies just keep finding a way to win,” Higgs said. “[We] pushed through adversity and kept showing up [because] we are competing everyday [for the] big win.”
Sophomore Delila Bond believes that teamwork was a crucial part of the victory.
“We did well communicating as a team and we kept fighting through all [of the] innings,” Bond said.
