Ghost of Tsushima is a game made by Sucker Punch Studios, known for games like the Infamous franchise. Ghost of Tsushima is a unique game.

In Ghost of Tsushima, you play a samurai named Jin, who is on a mission to save the island of Tsushima from falling into the hands of the Mongols. Along the way, he has to sacrifice his code of honor to defeat the Mongols. The story of the Ghost of Tsushima is amazing, especially with the growth of Jin’s character throughout the game.

Combat and gameplay are on another level of amazing, and to explain, I will break them down into three areas.

Aggressive/Combat styles

Ghost of Tsushima has four fighting stances for each type of enemy you might fight.

The four stances are the Stone stance, Water stance, Wind stance, and Moon stance. You also have weapons to aid you in your battle. For example, you have items like smoke bombs and oil bombs to fight, and if you complete a certain side mission, you can get an oil that can light your Katana on fire to damage your enemies even more.

Stealth

Stealth in the Ghost of Tsushima is amazing. The game lets you use everything to your advantage, you can climb buildings to have the high ground over your targets or hide in the grass. The weapons you have for stealth are a bow to silently take out targets, throw knives to quickly take out groups of enemies, and, one of my favorites, poison darts to take out your targets and scare any who witnesses the death.

Armor and upgrades

Throughout the game, you unlock armor sets with unique abilities and stat boosts. For example, if you use the ghost armor, it will be harder to be seen, but that is just one example. To strengthen your armor and other things like your Katana, you need to upgrade them by collecting materials you can find around the island of Tsushima.

The graphics of Ghost of Tsushima are just so good. The world is so vibrant and alive. It is one of the best-looking games ever seen.

Ghost of Tsushima is one of the best games I have ever played, and it is highly recommended.

Ghost of Tsushima is a PlayStation exclusive only.
