After winning against the Australian Basketball Travellers 41-37 on Thursday, the Redhawks girls’ basketball team is feeling confident going into the opening game of District 11-5A play against Frisco on Tuesday at 5:45 p.m., but is still looking to improve certain skills.
11 games into the District 10-5A girls’ basketball season and the Redhawks remain unbeaten after Friday’s 71-20 win over Lebanon Trail, leaving the team just three games from finishing an undefeated district season.
“I think the game overall, we got a good win,” assistant coach Jacy Morton said. “I think we saw a lot of things that we need to work on, I know we got a couple more games left, things that we need to implement before our next few district games before we start playoffs.”
Even though the final score featured a 51 point difference, Morton highlights the need for improvement.
“They shot the ball really well on Friday, but again we saw a lot of things that we need to do better on the offense and defensively over the next couple weeks,” Morton said.
