Success District 10-5A season for girls' basketball, as they closed out on Tuesday. The team beat Independence, setting their record in district play to 14-0.
That’s a wrap for District 10-5A play for the girls’ basketball team, but not the end of the line. After a 59-11 win over Independence Tuesday, the girls finished district play with a record of 14-0 putting them top of their table and advancing to the playoffs.
“The game was good I know we got to see a couple of different things, try and get through a couple of different looks during that game,” assistant coach Jaycii Morton said “But overall I thought they did well.”
The girls will have less than a week to prepare for their first round matchup Monday against Creekview.
“So the rest of this week from here on out we are preparing for playoffs,” Morton said. “So we are getting in everything we need to get in, going through things, trying to get little details down, before we get into this playoff season.”
