New schedule changes are now in effect for some students with the closing of the advanced/AP drop window. But students dropping classes aren’t the only ones being impacted.
Due to the number of students dropping AP classes, some on-level classes became too large with the addition of more students which led to addition of a new section.
“We had a couple of sections that we had very large classes,” counselor Lanae Rainey said. “So by adding the extra section, we were able to support teachers by giving them smaller class sizes, and supporting students by giving them [more opportunities] to ask questions and access their teacher.”
