In their final home match of the 2024 season, the first-place Redhawks volleyball team (12-1) secured a third consecutive district championship with their third 3-0 sweep over third place Memorial (9-4) this season.
“We played very strong and consistently and did a good job with serving tough, and really just controlling most of the things that they tried to do” head coach Eighmy Dobbins said.
For the seniors on the team, the match was an emotional night, as it not only marked the third district championship of their high school careers, but it was also the final time they would play as Redhawks in a home volleyball match.
“I’m just so happy with the win,” senior Sophia Hung said. “The night was super emotional for all of us seniors obviously but getting the win at the end and playing so clean was nice as well.”
