Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) members travel to Tyler Friday for their Spring Leadership Conference, where they will stay overnight and compete, showcasing their skills in various healthcare-related events.
“I hope that competitors who have made it this far advance since I know everyone has been working really hard,” HOSA Vice President and junior Stephanie Okorie said. “I also hope that competition goes smoothly and is well-organized so I and the other officers can focus on supporting everyone and ensuring everyone has a good competition experience.”
Competing in Public Health, junior Ayush Dane and his partner created a project on the loneliness epidemic and are excited to showcase it while having the opportunity to meet new people in Tyler.
“We created a three-minute trailer on a topic—in my partner’s and in my case, the loneliness epidemic,” Dane said. “I’m most excited to showcase our project and meet new people in Tyler, even though it’s a bit far.”
