The baseball team (2-4) opens district play with a home game against Frisco Tuesday at 7:30 p.m, on the Redhawks’ teacher appreciation night.
“I feel fairly confident about our chances of winning with a young team,” head coach Scott McGarrh said. “We have had a good practice routine that we’ve gone through to help set us up for a close game and exciting finish.”
Freshman Griffin Jenkins has a strategy for sucess.
“We just need to make sure we keep control of the game and don’t get distracted by the errors we make,” Jenkins said.
Update: After losing 12-1 to Frisco, the baseball team (0-1) will have a very light workload over spring break, as they are scheduled to play only one game. The Redhawks will travel to Frisco (1-0) Friday at 7:30 p.m to try and avenge their loss.
