A tradition for seniors around this time of year is the annual baccalaureate: a non-denominational ceremony to honor graduating seniors as a symbol of separating and moving onto the next path of life.
“I think seniors should go to the baccalaureate because it’s a symbolic way to, like, we’ve all been, like, connected and tied together here at Liberty,” senior Brooklynn Brown said. “But then like when we cut the rose, it’s like we’re all going our separate path. and I also think people should go just because I’m excited. some of my friends are speaking at it, and i just can’t wait to hear the way god’s impacted their life.”
Students are asked to register for the ceremony by April 19, with the ceremony on May 4 at Preston Trail Community Church at 3:00.
Families and friends are welcome to attend at no cost.
