In order to prepare for the year-long season and enhance the relationships among line members, Red Rhythm has been practicing since July. Director Nicole Nothe believes the team’s success starts with the girl’s relationships with one another.

“My aspirations for the team would be just working together as a whole and including everyone and on the same page,” Nothe said. “It’s not always gonna be perfect, but it’s striving to get along and be as a team.”

Line members are also enthusiastic about being involved in the team after seeing the results of hours of practice.

“I’m really looking forward to seeing the team grow throughout the year and all the hard work paying off in our later seasons like contest and spring show,” junior lieutenant Karly Dykes said.

While the team strives for perfect performances, Nothe believes that the ultimate end goal is to bring the team closer together.

“We’re always looking for solid performances because the girls are happy with that,” Nothe said. “At the end of the day it’s just [about] knowing that they’re getting along and working together.”
