Starting off the 2025-26 season, the swim and dive team participated at the Sprint Invitational meet Thursday at the Bruce Eubanks Natatorium, placing third overall.
“Overall the meet went really well,” head coach Zachariah Gnoza said. “The team finished third out of 18 teams. It was definitely a great way to start the season. Areas needing improvement are just keep a positive mindset when things do not go as planned and taking one event at a time.”
Despite getting injured, junior Samantha Njau dropped time in all the events she participated in.
“We did really well at this meet, boys got there, girls got there, we got lots of awards and placed third overall,” Njau said. “My shoulder got injured, so I couldn’t swim some of my events but I did drop time on all of the events I could compete in.”
