A revenge match 359 days in the making.
That’s how the sixth-in-state volleyball team (31-4, 13-1 District 11-5A) is approaching their first-round playoff game against Lone Star (19-13, 8-6 District 12-5A) Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at Frisco High School.
With only six matches remaining until the end of the regular season, the volleyball team (25-4, 7-1) hit the road to tae on Lebanon Trail (6-19, 0-8) Tuesday at 6:30 p.m, hoping to pick up another win.
Middle blocker, junior Addi Alexander, believes what worked for the Redhawks the last time these two teams met – a 3-0 sweep of the Trail Blazers – has a chance to work again.
“[We] stayed focused and disciplined through the long rallies last time,” Alexander said. “That and finding ways to score quickly like we did before are what we need to focus on.”
Redhawks volleyball coaches did not immediately respond to Liberty Wingspan’s request for comment.
