The volleyball team (35-4, 13-1 District 11-5A, #6 in 5A) swept Lovejoy (32-14, 10-4 District 9-5A) at Rock Hill High School Monday in three sets (28-26, 25-10, 25-23).
Picking up a hat trick for the first time this season, the volleyball team (30-4, 12-1) notched another win, defeating the Memorial Warriors (26-13, 9-4) 3-1 in their last road match of the regular season Tuesday and narrowly outscoring them 98-92.
“They gave us tough competition,” head coach Eighmy Dobbins said. “We served tough, but we need to work on our blocking.”
Sophomore, defensive specialist, Audrey Swallow, agrees, citing in particular the second set, which the Redhawks won 28-26, and the third set, which they lost 25-20.
“We weren’t that consistent with our blocking, especially in those sets,” Swallow said. “We were, however, able to get around their defense and score most of the time.”
