Returning to The Nest for their final match of the regular season, the volleyball team (30-4, 12-1) seeks to go out on a high note, aiming for a win against the Emerson Mavericks (12-22, 3-10) Friday at 6:30 p.m. If they succeed, they would have nine consecutive wins.
Junior, middle blocker, Emersyn Fink, said that this match will be a special one, so it’s not all about competition.
“We’ve been working really hard to perfect the little details before districts end, so we’re fully prepared [for Emerson],” Fink said. “This will be the last time we’re all together [on our home court], so it’s important to cherish every second.”
Reflecting on the team’s 3-0 road victory over the Mavericks earlier this month, head coach Eighmy Dobbins said the team needs to take the same approach as they did the previous time.
“We need to play super smart volleyball and have great consistency, especially against their offense,” Dobbins said.
UPDATE: The volleyball team (31-4, 13-1) won 3-0 at home against the Emerson Mavericks (12-23, 3-11) Friday at The Nest.
