Wingspan: What school did you choose?
McGarrh: “East Texas Baptist University.”
Wingspan: Why did you choose this school?
McGarrh: “As soon as I went on campus I just knew that that’s where I wanted to go the next four years. I just kind of got that feeling.”
Wingspan: What aspects appealed to you?
McGarrh: “This will actually be their first year having a golf program and so I think just being able to start a first year program. I’m actually super pumped about that.”
Wingspan: What are you expecting from being a college athlete?
McGarrh: “I’m expecting to be super busy a lot, but I think it’s gonna teach me a lot too; time management. I’m excited.”
Wingspan: How long did it take to make this decision?
McGarrh: “So I went on a few college visits. I actually fell in love with this school I went to before East Texas and then immediately changed my mind and kind of just thought about it for a few months. Then finally just called up the coach and was like, ‘hey this is where I’m going.’ ”
Wingspan: What other options were you contemplating?
McGarrh: “I was looking at just a few other colleges – University of Arkansas Monticello, Oklahoma City University, Colorado Christian.”
Wingspan: How do you plan to prepare?
McGarrh: “Our seasons almost over but we are about to go to regionals. I’m just hoping to make the best out of this season and have all summer just to prepare for next season.”
