Wingspan: What kind of art do you do?

Oh: “I’m currently exploring different kinds of arts as I haven’t found what I exactly want to do. So far I’ve really enjoy painting with oils and I enjoy drawing people the most.”

Wingspan: How has it affected your life?

Oh: “It has really changed how I just view the world differently and often times even daily objects become so intriguing. It also has helped me appreciate life and what I see even more.”

Wingspan: What’s is your favorite piece you’ve done?

Oh: “My current favorite is a piece I did of a sunflower.”

Wingspan: What does art mean to you?

Oh: “Art means a multitude of things to me. It’s an outlet, it’s beauty, it’s life. I think art can and does mean anything and everything.”

Wingspan: What have you learned about yourself through art?

Oh: “I think that I’ve learned that I still need a lot of patience and that I may not be the best at something but there are things that no one can do like I can”

Wingspan: What is it like to be in an AP art class?

Oh: “It’s very fun to be around so many talented artists but also gets very stressful because of the pieces we have to make and the ap test makes it all even harder and more stressful.”

Wingspan: Are you considering to pursue it as a career?

Oh: “It is an option, but I think I am currently enjoying it more as a hobby and something that I can do when I see an outlet.”

Wingspan: What’s the biggest challenge of being an artist?

Oh: “I think the biggest challenge is seeing past what you currently have on the paper. It’s often really hard to look into the bigger picture and how what your doing at the moment may not be the prettiest, but really will help in the final piece.”

Wingspan: What inspires all your artwork?

Oh: “The experience I go through and all the people I am surrounded by really inspire me.”

Wingspan: What is your advice to anyone who aspires to be an artist?

Oh: “Don’t give up. Whatever you do it’s going to be tough, but nothing gets better without practice”
