Piada presents flavorful, fast pasta
Pasta is a very common food, and I eat it almost every week, so when my friend told me about Piada Italian Street Food I decided to go to see what they have to offer. The restaurant and serving style reminds me a lot of Chipotle. Even though Piada looks classier, it’s style of serving is the same: you pick a base for your bowl and go down the line picking toppings.
I decided to go with the Pesto Pasta, topped with crispy chicken, tomatoes, chickpeas, olives, cheese and corn. I haven’t had many pesto pastas before so I didn’t have anything to compare it to, but I thought it was pretty great. The only thing I would change about it is I would’ve liked a little more pesto because since the pesto was mixed with alfredo sauce, the pesto flavor was dialed down.
If I were to go back which I probably will, I would order everything the same except for the addition of the crispy chicken. It wasn’t good at all in my opinion, but I know someone who really liked it so it comes down to preferences obviously.
I’m excited to go back and try some new combinations.
