Kanz Bitar

In this week’s culinary crusade, staff reporter Kanz Bitar visited Ninja de Cream to try their berry roll up ice cream.

Ninja de Cream blows away with berry roll up

A dessert place that I’ve been meaning to go to lately is Ninja de Cream. It’s such an aesthetically pleasing shop with so many good dessert options. I finally went there and tried their berry roll up ice cream.

I love ice cream and I love berries, so there was no doubt in my mind that I would absolutely love this, and I was right. It was so creamy and soft. The syrup that was drizzled on top made the flavors pop more and made all the more better. The berries tasted fresh and flavorful.

I enjoyed my desert and took some pretty nice photos there, so I’m definitely gonna be going back for more.

U.S. extends entry ban

In an attempt to battle COVID-19 and the various new strands of it, the U.S. has recently issued an extended entry ban. This further prevents travelers from Europe’s Schengen Area, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Brazil, and South Africa from entering the U.S.

What these five places have in common are the newer strands of COVID-19 that have been located in these areas; all of which spread faster and easier. While some of these strands have already entered the U.S., restricted travel will prevent them from spreading more than they already have, and will help keep the ones that have not entered, from entering.

Those who are able to enter the U.S. must provide paper or electronic proof of a negative COVID test that is less than 72 hours old. This allows for both flight crew and passengers to hopefully have safer flights. This also aids the extended travel ban in helping to stop the spread of newer strands.

While the restrictions on travel at this time are extremely unfortunate, they pave the way for a hopefully safer and COVID free future.
