Rhea of Sunshine: taking care of your mental health
Hello everyone. I hope y’all have had smooth sailing the first few weeks of school. Whether you’re on campus or virtual, things should be starting to ease up and you should be getting used to your new school routine.
Even though teachers are trying their hardest to make school as normal as they possibly can for students, the truth is everything is different this school year, and we’re all just trying our hardest to adapt.
It’s crazy to think that we’ve already completed our first six weeks of school.
This week I want to bring up an important topic that some of us may be too busy to even think about and that’s maintaining our mental health.
No matter if you’re just entering high school as a freshman, or about to graduate and go to college as a senior, school is stressful. And stress is normal, but it’s important to take a step back once in a while and make sure that this stress isn’t overwhelming us.
I’m talking about taking breaks, or a day off, every so often, sleeping in on the weekends, or even treating yourself to an online shopping spree. However you choose to unwind and relax, it’s important that you do. Keep that in mind.
Have a great weekend everyone.
