Chapter 3: Arman
February 26, 2016
So anyways, back to the bro date. First up was the basketball game on Friday. Liberty was playing Lone Star at home. The Friday before, I had witnessed probably one of the most exciting games in my high school tenure, as our team fell to Frisco on the road.
Now I really wasn’t anticipating that; maybe a fun game with some dunks. Lone Star isn’t that good this year.
But this was downright ugly. Even as a huge basketball fan, it wasn’t something I’d watch. I even contemplated leaving the game early to watch the soccer game in the cold.
Players missing multiple shots, no one in a rhythm, constant airballs. It wasn’t pretty. I honestly felt for David. The game wasn’t a good first high school experience. It was just an overall boring game. David complained about how I didn’t tell him the rules about the freshman not sitting in the front row and stuff like that. No one touched David when he was with me and other seniors. He wouldn’t have gotten beaten up.
