Aloo Chana Papdi Chaat

Chaat is a beloved food for many Indians. It is full of a variety of textures, from creamy yogurt to crispy potatoes, spicy and sweet chutneys, and savory chickpeas. While many versions of chaat have wheat or dairy, this one is made with allergy-friendly ingredients.

Ingredients:

  • 10-15 Simple Mills Seed Crackers
  • ¼ cup Chopped cucumbers
  • ¼ cup Finely chopped onions
  • ¾ cup Cubed and peeled boiled potatoes
  • Salt (to taste)
  • 1 tsp Chaat Masala
  • ⅓  cup Kite Hill Yogurt
  • 1 tsp Black Salt
  • ⅔ cup Chole (I will be sharing my recipe for Chole/Chickpea Masala next week)
  • Date syrup (to taste)

Preparation:

  • Start by arranging the crackers on a plate
  • Mix the potato cubes with 1 tsp of chaat masala and ½ tsp black salt
  • Layer the seasoned potato cubes on the crackers
  • Top the crackers with chopped cucumbers and chopped onions
  • Gently place the Chole on top of the crackers
  • Stirring the yogurt with ½ tsp of black salt and drizzle it over the crackers
  • Finish off with a generous drizzle of date syrup
  • Enjoy!
