Wingspan: Why did you join color guard?
Chamakura: “My friend said that it would be a good experience, and I also had a few friends in color guard, so then I went to auditions, and I ended up really liking it.”
Wingspan: What are some challenges you faced when you started color guard?
Chamakura: “There weren’t really challenges because they went really slow and explained everything so as long as you pay attention and apply the information, you’ll catch on quickly.”
Wingspan: What is your favorite aspect of color guard?
Chamakura: “I really like how the team just feels like a family, and it’s very helpful, too because whenever we go to competitions or anything, you’re not really that stressed.”
Wingspan: What is winter guard?
Chamakura: “Winter guard is like color guard, it’s almost the same thing, except instead of doing it with the marching band, we have our own show with just the guard.”
Wingspan: What is your favorite aspect of winter guard?
