Wingspan: How long have you been golfing and when did you start?
Shah: “I’ve been golfing since I was nine and my dad got me to start.”
Wingspan: What is your favorite part about playing golf?
Shah: “It’s really fun and it challenges you.”
Wingspan: What is the difference between playing golf inside of school versus outside of school?
Shah: “Playing at school there is definitely more pressure, but you also want to help your team so it makes it worth it.”
Wingspan: What is the most challenging part about golf?
Shah: “Probably when you play and you have a really good day, but then you play another day and not do as well.”
Wingspan: Is being a freshman on varsity challenging for you?
Shah: “Not really, one of my other friends is on varsity with me, and the older girls are really nice.”
Wingspan: What is your mindset before you play?
Shah: “I’m very determined and know that I’m going to have a good day. Just trying to pump myself up basically.”
Wingspan: What part of your game do you want to work on?
Shah: “Probably my putting.”
Wingspan: What is your biggest accomplishment?
Shah: “Getting first in a NTPGA tournament.”
Wingspan: What is your favorite course to play
Shah: “My favorite course to play is Ridgeview because it’s my home course, but I also like to play on vacation like in California because my aunt and uncle live on a golf course.”
Wingspan: How do you want to pursue golf in the future?
Shah: “I probably won’t play in college, but I do want to play all four years of high school.”
