Wingspan: What are you goals as a team for this season?
Wenaas: “Probably just to do as well a we can and place really well in districts to be able to go to playoffs. Just to have fun too.”
Wingspan: What does your training look like?
Wenaas: “Right now we just practice for two hours in the morning before school and we do weight room twice a week.”
Wingspan: Do you have any expectations that you want to meet this year?
Wenaas: “I definitely expect us to beat Wakeland. It’s been a while so I know we are all excited for that game.”
Wingspan: Have you been practicing volleyball over the summer?
Wenaas: “Yes, there was club volleyball in the beginning of summer, and school volleyball started August first, so we have already done a lot of training.”
Wingspan: How has club season prepared you for school season?
Wenaas: “We mainly just got back into shape and did a lot of exercising to get ready for districts.”
Wingspan: What are some things you learned from season?
Wenaas: “Last season I really just learned what Redhawk volleyball is all about and the type of things Coach Womble expects.”
Wingspan: What is the most challenging part about volleyball?
Wenaas: “Definitely getting up earlier than most people, and then balancing that with homework and school.”
Wingspan: What is you favorite part about volleyball?
Wenaas: “The bus rides to and from games. The bus is really fun, and also just being able to play with my friends.”
