Wingspan: How long have you been playing baseball and what got you started?
Archer: “I’ve been playing since I was six so eleven years. A couple of my buddies were playing it when I was younger and I thought I’d give it a shot. I really liked it and started playing, so that’s how I got started.”
Wingspan: What is your favorite position to play?
Archer: “I like pitching because you can control the game when you’re up there. It’s all you and your defense helping you out behind you.”
Wingspan: How do you think playing with your friends impacted you staying with the sport or not?
Archer: “It for sure impacted it, I think if I wasn’t playing with people that I liked it wouldn’t have stuck with it. When you have people surrounding you that are alway positively impacting you and how you play it makes it a lot better.”
Wingspan: Did you try any other sports before baseball?
Archer: “I did, I played football and I wrestled for a little bit but baseball was my passion and the sport for me.”
Wingspan: What is your favorite part about your sport?
Archer: “I like the team atmosphere of it, I get to be around guys that you love and play with them, play the sport that I love and just all around a good atmosphere.”
Wingspan: What fuels your passion to play?
Archer: “Probably winning. When you win there’s nothing like it, especially when you pitch it’s a feeling that you can’t get anywhere else.”
