Wingspan: When did you learn of your interest in music?

Sundar: “Probably listening to Disney soundtracks when I was a toddler, but the first time I ever played an instrument was the first week of kindergarten when I started playing the ukulele.”

Wingspan: When did you discover your talent? How has that changed you?

Sundar: “I realized my talent around 7th grade when I started investing a lot more time towards playing. It has made me more focused and also given me a way to relieve school or life stress.”

Sundar: “I practice weekly and make sure that I can play the parts that I usually mess up on.”

Wingspan: How do you handle mistakes during a performance?

Sundar: “I just move on. We are all human so it’s obviously bound to happen.”

Wingspan: Are you considering this as a career?

Sundar: “Not really. I really just see playing the violin as a way to reduce stress and delve myself into music.”

Wingspan: What’s been your favorite memory in orchestra?

Sundar: “My favorite memory was the Bach to School Bash freshman year, when my friends and I spent the majority of the time climbing trees.”

Wingspan: How do you balance orchestra and your extracurriculars?

Sundar: “I just make sure that I have enough time to practice a reasonable amount everyday before I do my homework.”
