Marvel Studios’ 10th anniversary began with the release of Avengers: Infinity War on Thursday evening. A colossal crossover event featuring almost every superhero in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Avengers: Infinity War is the most intense, complex, and thrilling Marvel movie yet.

Featuring about 76 characters, most people feared that the movie had too many superheroes; however, that definitely wasn’t the case. The heroes were split into groups with each facing different circumstances that all somehow connected together, creating an understandable plot that flows well. When it comes to defeating Thanos, the most powerful being in the Universe, there is no such thing as too many superheroes.

Starting with Eric Killmonger from Black Panther and now to Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War, Marvel is continuing to display well-developed villains. Josh Brolin’s portrayal of the mad Titan captivates audiences and instantly makes them go against him. Other performances from actors such as Robert Downey Jr., Tom Holland, and Zoe Saldana, just to name a few, were marvelous and contribute to the overall film in a significant way.

Avengers: Infinity War is an appropriate mix of humor, action, and tear-jerking scenes, implementing reality within a fantasy. We are reminded that superheroes are not always serious and that they are just like normal people, except more enhanced. Audiences should prepare for an exhilarating movie with plot twists spread throughout it and an unexpected ending.

Avengers: Infinity War exceeds expectations for diehard Marvel fans as the perfect beginning for the end. Nonetheless, this movie might be difficult for non-hardcore fans to interpret, as there are 18 previous movies in the Marvel Cinematic Universe that are tied into one movie, but this can easily be resolved by watching videos on YouTube summarizing previous Marvel movies.

An entertaining masterpiece, Avengers: Infinity War is a mindblowing film that captures the attention of all audiences. With the film being the longest movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Avengers: Infinity War is worth every minute.
